I appreciate your argument. However, my point was not that .25 micron equipment would soon need to be replaced. Rather, I seem to remember James Morgan stating in a conference call two or three quarters back that only about 22% of the equipment owned by AMAT's customers was at the .25 micron level or below. Accordingly, I was wondering whether a good many customers still needed to make the conversion to .25 micron equipment in the first instance. Moreover, as evidenced by Intel, there may already be an existing market for .18 micron technology and below. Does this raise the possibility that semi-equips could experience solidly profitable years even prior to the 300mm roll-out?
