Monty; I noticed the defensive issues did fairly better, with interest rates so low it's a wonder more didn't go up. In my Nifty Fifty, I have them grouped 25huge & 25 vrylrg the second gang moved up on the first one,..ie money is working it's way down stream some, the market has to do that if it's going to heal itself, but all in all the nifty fifty beat the S&P..with the 2nd tier gaining on the first. Actually over time, the 2nd 25 does do better than the first 25 in gains, money eventually finds it's way down to the leaner companies in spite of the index funds, but it takes it's time about it. Jim
