Ian, RE:What's your current outlook for total Capital Equipment spending in 1998? 1999? $20B? $28B? higher? Lower? I will defer to the "experts" who analyze the semi industry and publish their forcasts concerning anticipated future sales. I am familiar with specific "front end" manufacturing production equipment not the entire "spectrum" of total equipment that is used in the entire manufacturing/testing/packaging/analytical process which is included in semi manufacturing sales projections. I have not seen recent industry projections from Dataquest or other sources. Do you have any recently revised projections to share with us?? BB
