Brian,

Does your specialist know when the $25.00 USB-serial connector will be available for iMAC as you mentioned in message 17234?

Rishi

Brian,

I went to Fry's, Micro Center and CompUSA in the SIlicon Valley in the past few days and search for iMAC printer solutions.

WHat I found out are:
(1) No one carries the Farallon iPrint card.
(2) No one carries the uConnect product.
(3) Fry's sell a $279 Epson USB enabled inkject printer. And this is the only inkjet printer Fry's carries now. I know HP also has an USB inkjet available. Either inkjet will require a USB cable. Fry's has one for $49.00
(4) CompUSA sells a $49.00 CDROM driver for to be used on an Epson printer with regular connector.
(5) An IMATION SuperDisk drive has been passing out fliers since 8/15/98 but no hardware is available at Fry's. No date for availability from the sales floor.

Therefore my search for a iMAC usable printer is temporarily stopped and unsuccessful.

The solution I use now is to email a small file to my Centrion(?) and print from that old Macintosh to any printers on the AppleTalk link.
