Thomas:

Orion's press release about Orion-2 indicates a launch in May 1999. With such a short time period from announcement to launch, one must assume that they are using "spare parts" to assemble Orion-2. There are a number of sources possible for these parts, including L-Star 2, M2A, PAS6R. On the other hand, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that Loral uses L-Star 2 for a completely new sat(not Orion-2). Either way, they will not "eat" L-Star 2.

Interesting re-evaluation of the valuation RS & Valueman. I will take a look and see if I can figure anything out, but LOR has caused me to stay up late many nights trying to figure out a valuation.

On a different note, don't forget, the inaugural chat for the LOR FAQ club is on for 10pm EST tonight.

later,
