LG: Thanks for the lesson. I agree. The problem we amateur investors face is we don't understand the information very well, nor do we know how it can be manipulated. I was overly impressed with the gurus on SI when I first started following it. Before that I had a strategy and followed it pretty closely. My biggest losses were always the result of greed. When you have worked hard all your life and then see how easy it is to turn a profit of a few thousand dollars in a couple of days with no sweat on your forehead it gives you a false sense of competence.

My first big hit came with a stock called IFSC. They supposedly had the cure for AIDS and there was a lot of hype. When the stock was around $7 the FDA withheld approval of the drug because of insufficient results in the testing the company did. The stock is now at .65 and the company has gone mute. It went down faster and bigger than CYBG. I discovered SI shortly after that and a guru on the IFSC thread said "don't worry, it will be back to $7 by the end of the summer." So, I bought more at $2. after a dead cat bounce.

Right now I am just trying to wait out the small cap crisis and am investing in MSFT, CSCO, etc. I will be tougher to convince next time and much less willing to invest in companies on the come.

Thanks again for the advice. That is what I like now about SI. I am learning to cut through the hype and bashing of the momentem players.
