Excellent suggestion, John.

Sometimes I like a good argument (after my first cup of coffee!), but I think your idea to just never respond may drive him back under the rock.

From now on, I'll try to resist the urge to beat up on the weak.

Mr. K.

John,

I have to agree with you. If he really knew what he was talking about then we would listen to him . But alas I will no longer fall for the bait. Your right we need to just stop relying to his comments.

Before Wellfleet and Synoptics were thinking of getting together I thought of investing in Wellfleet, but my gut analysis told me not to invest in them and I'm glad I didn't!

John you are lucky to be working for Cisco. What makes them so good is managements vision. I have learned over the years that management is the MOST important variable in success in the long run.

Back to engineering, I have been following the Juniper story even before it was a company. As you know there are many ways to structure the "language of the Internet". There is a pro and con with each standard or protocol. Cisco has covered it's bases well and I know they are handling all possible architectures.

The nice thing is that there is so many ways for this industry to grow!

regards,

Eric
