Thanks but I have been 'teached' to do the math for the
past few days and don't want to get drag into another
lesson having others telling me one byte is eight bits.

However, do you think the overhead is that high ?

Given:

I think the right divisor for byte rate is 11 due to USB overhead.

You should factor in SCSI overhead.. (since that's where the conversation started).

BTW: I believe USB transfer rate is 12mbps + overhead, not including overhead.
