Tony, Re: Trying to stir the pot by creating a lot of FUD is what it looks like to me.

I don't think so. I believe Jim is just trying to add
some 'spice' to this thread. After all, this is a thread
for leisure.

Tony,
RE:"Why are you comparing Pentium II's at "normal" speeds with
Celerons that are (way) overclocked,"

Let's be realistic here...OK...these chips are all on .25u...
While the Pentium IIs may be normally clocked the Celeron A's are UNDERCLOCKED. This also begs the question...if the Celeron A is cheaper to make than the Pentium II. (Best guess is about $20 cheaper) why not just crank up the Celeron A to 350, 400 and 450 and forget the Pentium II all together! That would pretty much seal the deal wouldn't it?

RE:"It seems like your posts have gone off the deep end recently, resembling those of an alarmist, going from one extreme to the other about Intel vs. AMD vs. themselves. Trying to stir the pot by
creating a lot of FUD is what it looks like to me."

Actually I am quite excited about buying Intels fastest processor for home use, the Mendocino, and NOT getting reamed by Intels high priced
marketing FUD...now how long to you think it will be until others figure this out?
Tell me Tony, what would you now buy for home use? a Celeron A or a Pentium II? Come on now Tony...tell me the Pentium II. <G>
