It would be hard for anyone to pay any attention to a post like that given other rumors on Yahoo, given the poster refuses to say where the information came from, and given that the poster only joined SI yesterday.

Does not look to good for the takeover rumor. MHR made a horrible decision to do a stock repurchase program that they announced today. MHR has plenty of cash and could use the opportunity in a weak sector to do a couple of small acquisitions. These stocks (if bargains) have been beaten up so much, they could have a strong rebound when the pressure comes off.
