Im still trying to figure out if Vers competes with Vantive? I mean on a pure product level, I understand they are both front office.

Thanks
Michelle

PS I wonder who was the recipient of the brains that Oracle apps mgmt donated to science?

Why would the PSFT guy have to leave the VNTV BOD? Don't quite understand.

I can't understand ORCL buying VERS. The "new" technology that Vers has just didn't work well and essentially helped pulled Vers down because of the customer problems it caused. Most of the good personnel have left, and the customers that are left are even more unsatisfied than one normally finds in this market.
Larry's just looking cheap on this one. I hate to mention Vers and Vntv in the same sentence as they're not even comparable, but if Orcl wants into this market with an acquisition like Vers, Vntv would have been way way better, IMHO.
