Why does this invoke giggles?
According to my calculations based on DELL post 44067 (sorry no link).

1 share of DELL bought at IPO in June of 1988 is equivalent to 24 shares of DELL now which means that that single share purchased for $8.50 would have an unsplit value of $2976!!!
(based on the share price today of $124 at close.)

Didn't MD say that more of it will happen in the future than in the past?
