<Well, we're back to the argument of "Why do we need a competitive marketplace? After all, Microsoft makes an OS and some apps. that everyone already knows how to use."> If you haven't noticed, MSFT has gained its dominance in a "competitive marketplace". We don't need politically active programmers or government officials micro-mandating bodily functions to achieve a competitive market place. That is what the market is there for.
