Kevin, if I may:

(1) Why did you choose Ascend over Cisco (or someone else)?

Price is cheaper. And you get what you pay for, imho.

(2) What type of telecom lines are you running and how much throughput will they handle?

They said they are using a 56k circuit right now. Not much faster than your modem except that's it's digital and synchroneous. They mention a DS3. That's 45mb. Is this CBIT or M13? I don't know. Are they going to go Frac DS3 in the beginning or what? Is it going to be used as upstream for internet or private lines only?

3) Why did it take so long to propogate your DNS? (As if that's relevant anymore. I really don't know how long it takes any company, technical or not, to propogate a DNS?

Well because someone sent in a domain name update to the internic and forgot to wait until it was completed before changing networks. Whoops! Only a two week fiasco. Yes, it is over and done with, but the same thing could happen again.
