Your Cambrian reference noting "photonic switching will be key", reminded me of a British company, Bookham Technology, presently private, but with plans to go public sometime soon, I think. TM of NN is a financial backer.I would be interested in your views and thoughts on this company and their products. The idea of a photonic circuit on a silicon chip intrigues me. And, as well, the TM/Cambrian, TM/Bookham connections.

Pat,

I just finished the suggested reading. Outstanding. The articles filled in many blanks for me. I highly recommend them for anyone who may be curious about WDM - what is, what was and what will be including some of the key players.

I hope all is well,
Best wishes,
Ian.
