I did ask what the "original" tree was but was told that was confidential.

It was posted this morning that the botanical name is readily available.

Two stories appear confusing, the IR department told you about the good doctor genetically altering the tree. bmart advised us yesterday that the doctor did not discover the tree, but he did name it...

Look forward to further information on this.
