This what I wrote to BCA- they were making comparisons with US 1998 bubble and 1991 bubble, my only question was that demand and consumption alongwith consumer confidence are key to any domestic prodded economic development all these three features are absent in Japan. I also once related the size of abode to standard of living, Dr Jagdish Baghwati is an authority on contributions of new blood into US and one of the fiercest opponent of protectionism, the new growing population and immigration with unprecedented rise in productivity are key components of US advantage over rest of the world, fortunately after taking poor of the world for far too long we have the best of the world moving into US. Once US becomes the bastion of global moral authority I expect some semblance of order emanating from her actions.
