McCaffrey is not a Bear/Con or whatever

She formerly was an analyst with BT Alex Brown. Unfortunately she was off by an enormous amount to the upside with regard to Novell revenue estimates awhile back. I believe she was off by 100 mil in revenue. In other words she was "Bullish" very early on Novell.

Also if you look at the quote she is saying double digit growth in fiscal 99. That is more than most analysts have been willing to risk.

Instead of looking to the analysts for insights or quotes, I think the best bet is to look for upgrades since they will do the most at present to boost the stock.

The article Danti posted showing the enormous number of Netware 5.0 Betas out there vs the comparable number of NT5 and puny number of Netware 4.11s. Those figures are bullish! I haven't had a chance to review Novell's sales of 4.11 when it was released but I would bet the revenue figures were much much higher than the 250-280 mil we have been seeing from current Novell NOS's and getting used to.
