Whoa ! Look at where CPQ was 2 months ago ... mid 20s We are in the mid 30s now and NOT overly affected by market swings (sure a little loss here and a little there).. Look at what we've been holding onto CPQ for: 1) Inventories not only under control but healthy 2) Got past 1st and 2nd 'bad' qtrs, 3rd qtr should be ok but the LOOK-FORWARD 4th qtr will be GREAT ! 3) Huge write-offs taken and value will be seen soon 4) DEC buy-out done and consolidation for profits underway .. more should be coming out about this as we progress into the 4th qtr., 5) Value of ALTAVISTA and ALPHA as yet unfelt .. this too will add value 6) Ignore CPQ/DELL comparisons ... CPQ is in a different market, DELL is a good company with a good selling/cost philosophy BUT they will have their problems ALL companies do ! 7) Look at all the CPQ upgrades that have been given since 6/1 and there will be more to come... Lucy is awaiting her time for IMPACT 8) As has been stated many time on this thread (and I agree) CPQ mimics INTC ... INTC hasn't been a bern burner either but it too will be ! EP is good at his job and CPQ's stock price will be much better ... Patience, all you need is PATIENCE (as a golfer, El you know what I mean) JMHO Michael
