Subject: RE: Free classified ads are more effective to promote websites

Hi folks:

It is not necessary to spend a lot of money to promote your site. When we
launched our site, we paid $199 for the registration of 500 search engines.
After one month, we received 10-15 responses a week. One day we received=
an
e-mail claiming they have a more effective way to promote websites by using
bulk e-mails. We felt it was more reasonable, as it is direct marketing. =
We
spent another $199 for 200,000 bulk e-mails. Next month we still received
about 15-20 responses a week. Then, an electronics newsletter claimed their
classified ad is more effective, as they have 100,000 subscribers. More
important, the subscribers are business-minded people. Thus, we paid another
$120 for the ad on two issues of the newsletter (biweekly). Next month, we
still received 15-20 responses a week.

After that, we decided to use some free classified ads (more than 2,000
sites). We found the responses was significantly increased to 30-40
responses a week after one month. Currently, we receive about 80-100
responses a week. We conclude that free classified ads and links are more
effective in promoting websites than paid professional services. Of course,
I don't doubt their professional skills. The problem is that who they are
targeting. I guess people they are targeting are too business minded. It=
is
like that you want to sell your internet hosting services to a person who=
has
his own server.

We have linked more than 5,000 sites for free promotion of your websites at
our site (http://members.aol.com/itscompany/resources.htm). They are no way
you should spend a penny before you have taken advantage of these free
promotions.

Best regards!

Jim
