I just heard Gruntal's Joe Battitaglia (sp) on the Nightly Business Report. He is very bullish and believes portfolios should be 95% plus in stocks, especially small stocks! According to Joe, a rally was started last week and was temporarily interrupted by Clinton's response to terrorism etc but should resume. Problems in Asia have already had their effect here - U.S. and European economies will benefit from lower commodity prices due to troubles in LDC's.

Let's hope some investors and porfolio managers agree and find it appropriate to add some Valence to bring up their percentages!

FMK: Yep, entirely possible we'll see it lower simply because that's the trend, coupled with the generally nasty market conditions. Too also it's entirely likely margins are still getting hammered, and the lower it trends, the heavier the hammer becomes. Be that as it may I agree that now's the time to be picking your entry point IF you've a gamblers mind-set. Of course, I've been saying this for the past point or so, so clearly this is imho, heh! If you tend towards the conservative then I still caution DON'T jump in until announcements of p.o.'s OR a corporate pronouncement of having officially reached one, or more, of their milestones. Indeed stay cautious if you're conservative because we're about to enter the markets "silly season," that time from Sept. through October when the market in general tends to take it on the chin, and this year with the way the global markets are being roiled.......well, keep the head down and the cash dry.
