Spoke to Mr. Klotz (President of Columbia Capital) regarding the news article appearing in Florida. This article is basically a rehash of information released a month ago on the failure of BestBank. It must have been a slow news day at the Sun-Sentinel in having to dig up news already published a month ago. Nevertheless, Mr. Klotz put out a release this afternoon to set the record straight.

"The closure of the bank has opened a number of doors for us to develop new customers," says Mr. Klotz. "As other financial institutions take over the many existing BestBank programs, we are developing new client banks, who may also have other business that requires or processing capabilities."

The bottom line is that there is no real change in revenue for Columbia Capital since the closure of BestBank.

The stock was down only $ .12 for the day despite the news. This indicates that there are more "sophisticated investors" than panic sellers (who have tendency to jump back in again at a much higher price).
