ADI is suffering from more than just the industry-wide slow
down.

This mornings paper (IBD) gives ADI an EPS ranking of 63.
This basically means that 37% of all publicly traded companies
are outperforming ADI in terms of earnings-per-share growth.
That's pretty sad for a growth orientated company. Given that
they have already warned about the upcoming quarter, their EPS
rank won't be increasing anytime soon.

The EPS rankings for ADI's major competitors in the linear market
are much better, and have the feel of growth orientated companies.

Comparitive EPS rankings (from today's Investor's Business Daily):
ADI = 63 (top 37%)
LLTC = 94 (top 6%)
MXIM = 95 (top 5%)
MCRL = 98 (top 2%)
