<lol> only in the winter<g>.. I think the Canadian dollar has been the reason for the fall in price of BBD. It won't be long,IMO and there will be intervention. In fact I was going to do some calculations and try and get a rough guess of,how much of BBD's 40% growth year over year for the quarter ending July 31 could be attributed to the falling value of the Canadian dollar. Remember 88% of their revenue comes from outside Canada, thus with a lower conversion rate, for instance, more Canadian dollars to the US dollar,it would seem to reason this would increase their revenues all by itself. I have to find a site that gives historical currency data,to see what the value of the Can dollar was last year at this time(7/31/97).
BA lost out to AirBus, but AirBus will be powered by Rolls engines. I think I heard the engine contract was worth 300-400 million. One would guess this would be good for CADE and their testing facilities.
I'm fully invested again, but mutuals are in US Growth and Income, staying away from Overseas funds for awhile...DD
