I am bitter...but I am also impatient....my "gut" says chill out, close your eyes and get ready.

I am ready. Thanks FMK and Tmoore for the informative, if not pacifying posts. I wish us all the best in the coming days.

TMoore: I've seen "beta's" of that SolidAudio device, or at least one similar to it. Also there are similar products in the works using DVD formats for automatic downloads of music/video files direct to your device(s). I predict that within 10 years music/video stores will be a dying business form, superceded by web-site based stores. I say 10 years because I feel the telecom network will need that long to become sufficiently robust up to and through the local loop(via such technologies as xDSL, etc.) to be able to viable support this modality. And to the extent these "download" products are mobile, then to that extent they're gonna need robust "energy packets," eh?
