Mr Green Jeans--re: "If the Brinker effect is real:
1. How come the stock has dropped since his initial recommendation? . . ."

I'm not convinced of the existence of a long-term Brinker effect and haven't seen any evidence suggesting we've experienced any such effect so far. I think this would be difficult to demonstrate definitively. As long as some shares of UTEK out there are being traded by someone not following Brinker, it seems to me the long-term price trend should be determined primarily by factors other than Bob's recommendation.

I would expect Bob's comments to trigger short term fluctuations in price.

Gary

Re: "I have absolutely no support for this assertion but I surmise that institutional investors and mutual funds buy and sell more Utek in one transaction than all small investors hold combined."

I lost the link to a site which tells the percent of institutional ownership. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

I2

Mr. Green Jeans: Re: "Hey, the fact is many people own Utek because of his recommendation. The fact also is, I suspect, that it is only a small portion of the investing population. I have absolutely no support for this assertion but I surmise that institutional investors and mutual funds buy and sell more Utek in one transaction than all small investors hold combined."

Believe what you want to believe but when you check the facts you will find that the second sentence represents superficial thinking and that the final sentence is just plain incorrect.
