I agree with you on HYSL accounting. I don't have a grievance with corporate accounting measures or HYSL. The problem is with the valuation measures used. Accounting numbers are very unrealistic and should not be used to value a company. They (accounting numbers) have thier place and IMO it is not in the investors spreadsheet. Investors are in the game to make money, so that is what they should be counting - money. Bankers who buy and sell companies don't use earning to value a company, yet the analysts that support the sales forces of those bankers push them wholeheartedely - contradictions to say the least? If one were to look at the performance of the consensus estimates, you will find that history has made my point for me.
