enough. there is overcapacity NOW, which is more than enough to make up for any short term shortage. additionally, that excess capacity is moving to smaller geometries.

dj, they ARE ORDERING near 1996 levels. let's see, ordering in 1996 jacked supply way too high in 1997 and 1998. don't flat out mislead people regarding the level of ordering, dj.

That is 7% less then current $85 in regular

In the old days when the Japanese and Korean manufactures did not
shrink very aggressivly that was true. But now when a Samsung
doubles the number of potential chips/wafer they can double their
output with almost no increase in equipment. Micron educated their
competition on the merits of applying the lastest process technology to the volumn production part to drive down costs, it appears that
the students have learned well...
