.no matter how hard I try to understand this e-wave...I just cant get it...

I wouldn't try. However, I am interested in everyone's perspective on the market wherever they're coming from as they are all participants.

It would be nice if the E-wavers added a couple of words like - this is a peak, this is a bottom or either of those are coming up.

David

Lisa, I like his count and as David and I have discussed over the last week, we are still in wave 4 consolidation/indecision pattern.

IF YOUR GUYS count is correct, today's top completes wave 4 and we should NOW start the next leg down. A good target for the OEX would be the trading range to the peak MINUS the neckline.

There is some other evidence that this might be the case. We made a nice right shoulder on the OEX @ 547.11 to compare to the previous peak on April 22 @548.73.

Dell is showing A peaking 5th in my book and Dell was the last one to pop in May before the slide.

The internets are sluggish both price and volume when compared with the jump ofF the June lows. LCOS may have made a right shoulder @ 80.

Bwdik,
bb

Lisa.....your question was what is the significance of 5 of c of intermediate wave 4.............when a 4th or 2nd wave forms it will usually take the shape of a-b-c...... we have been going down since July 20th....this guy has wave 1 down going down to 7/24....then wave 2 forms and lasts until 7/30..it is a correction of wave 1 and is an a-b-c (meaning the internal structure of wave 2 has 3 waves," a" is a small up," b" small down, "c" small up....put together this a-b-c makes up a completed wave 2) and " c" waves will break down into 5 little waves of its own....so when the 5th wave of a "c" is done the next larger wave will begin going in the OPPOSITE direction....in this case then his wave 3 down started and lasted till Aug 5th and since then he has us in intermediate wave 4 which is correcting wave 3.....he is trying to count wave 4 as an a-b-c, but wave 4 can also be a triangle...a-b-c-d-e....this is what happened in April/May and he shows that on his chart........according to his read when the 4th wave is done a strong wave 5 down will begin...........however, E-Wave Theory has a few stiff rules and in my opinion his count in wave 4 has 2 very serious violations of the rules and is absolutely invalid...BUT it does not mean that wave 4 didn't end with todays high...it might have but not with his count.....if his count was a valid count then when the 5th subwave of the "c" ends...it signals the beginning of the next large wave in the opposite direction.............there are always 2 or more valid E-Wave counts going on...while his count is wrong, there are 2 other counts that say today's high was the end of his 4th wave and 5 down has started..but there are 2 other counts that say 4 has not ended yet..............people must have a very thorough understanding of E-Waves before betting on them...there ARE times when you can count and look for confirmations that tell you "it can't be this, it can't be that,it can't be those....it MUST be this" and then if a bunch of other more traditional TA confirms...it is time to load up........i saw one of those the weekend before the July 20th dump started and loaded up with puts on that Monday morning......but right now I don't see a slam dunk and if i miss a turning point, so what? there is always another tomorrow....i will wait for the odds in my favor..........I see lots of E-Wave calls that are big wrong....and at the time they were being called I did not see slam dunk....but I have also missed some good moves that others have called correctly but I thought too risky..........
those who are not students of E-Wave are wrong too often, those that are students are often wrong but when they see the slam dunk they load up and make up for the missed calls
pardon my rambling

still studying after many years
