<<There seems to be a growing availability of software apps for the Mac; is this true or just my imagination?>>

It's the Dominoe effect of supply and demand.

As iMac sales increase, the buyers ask the retailers in passing, "Do you have any programs for this?" The manager smiles (he's just made a nice sale) and says "Sure we do!"

Then he turns to his lackeys and says, "Get some Mac software on those shelves pronto! I don't care where you get it from. Just get it!"

Their job is to provide service and software to meet the demand of their hardware customers.

I suspect if the iMac drops in proce to $1000 we can see another wave of buying. by that time, there should be even more availability of software on STORE shelves. As opposed to catalogue.
