A little birdie told me dell plans to ship a unit at the 1K price point with audio and agp video on the system board. PCI modem and NIC. No monitor at 1K. Mendocino processor. Don't ask when it ships, I mentioned I worked for compaq and was thereafter unable to glean anymore details. Me and my big mouth.

Tony B,
This has not happened to to me. It was my understanding that the option exchange would sweep or exercise any options not exercised.

I have a phone call into my broker to get a clarification on this point. I find it very interesting, because at some point you can lose more money exercising a call. This serves to drive your base price up. At that point, you are better off doing nothing and letting the option expire. If the exchange doesn't sweep the options at the end of x day, that means the option seller has a chance to walk away if the close is near the strike price.

Will let you know what my PW broker has to say about this topic. It could be interesting.
