L3--

ready to vote for larouche<g>?

the first problem is that you are listening to NPR...THOSE people couldnt understand what is really going on. these high tech court cases are made needlessly complex. all a jury needs to understand are the facts...did MSFT use its position in OS software to leverage into the browser market? if we can believe what some of the PC OEMs have said, they did.

additional complexity and our supposed inability to understand it is rubbish. the problem isnt complexity, its that people make a living off of obfuscation.

as for politics, the problem isnt that clinton has a high approval rating...the problem is that you dont think he should because he violated your morals. most people dont care because they mind their own business. sure, i want to know what went on...but i want to know it for entertainment value...not because i want to become irate and talk of impeachment. hell, if we impeached every president that had sex in office with someone other than his wife we would probably have double the number we have accumulated to date.

a big part of the problem is that there are SOOOOO many baby boomers coming out now talking about morals...like bill bennett. wonder how he spent the sixties<G>? additionally, these people look at what they remember from their earlier indoctrination (pre-school and elementary 'education'), about how the president is a representation of americas purity, etc. what a load of crap. no, i think its time we stopped all the lies and hypocrisy. i am sick to death of all the christian coalition fucks telling me that i should think the way they do, that thinking any other way is unamerican and unrepublican. whatever. these people are as fascist as hitler, the only problem is that pat robertson doesnt have anywhere near the panache of hitler. at least with hitler you get the impression he believes his BS...with robertson all you get is a good measure of greed.

what really pisses me off are the sudanese harboring terrorists while attacking our presidents morality. of course on the other side of the debate, one has to wonder what the US did to piss off the osama fellow. people dont blow up embassies just for the hell of it. but of course, we dont see that talked about on the news.

sorry about all this...and it isnt really meant at you L3 (though i do take issue about the joe sixpack thing. however i agree with you about the logger), i just get so sick of hearing these larouchians on TV then i watch CBN for a while. it makes me wonder if these people who rail against special interests, etc., realize that they themselves are a special interest.

bottom line...we need to stop worrying so much about everyone elses morals and lives, and a little more about our own. additionally, it would be nice if the people trying to protect the american way of life would stop using the constitution to wipe their asses.

again, apologies for the rant...and to L3 who was unfortunate enough to have been the last person to post.

good luck to all,
trey

L3:

You make very good points, but there aren't too many King Solomon's around... : >

America is a success because we trust in the collective intelligence of the Average American... In other countries where they look for a Saviour or Pappa to make all their decisions for them, they get what they deserve, people corrupted by power...

The American people have showed their wisdom by voting in a divided Gov't... One party controls the Executive Branch and another party controls the Legislative Branch...

Yes, you can point to Clinton, OJ, Etc.,... This is the will of a free people, not one person who will think for us... I'd rather that we have a free press and are free to make mistakes than to have a Pappa figure telling me what I should think... The broader power is spread, the safer we all are...
