John T. Clarke, Sure- Total world energy demand and supply figures both current and historical for petroleum, coal, natural gas, etc., may be found at the International Energy Agency Website.

Actually I was slightly off- current total supply is 75mm bbls/day all right, but the IEA shows current demand slightly higher than I previously posted at 74mm bbls/day....And that is a s---load of oil to produce... Does everyone understand what's involved in producing a barrel of oil or an mcf of gas?

If you'd like some good general data and pictures, got to

mobil.com

Sincerely,

Doug F.
