What I don't understand, Dwight, is the Clinton defenders so adamantly defending Clinton hoping to keep him in office, that is, if they are themselves Democrats and hope to support their agenda. Heck if I knew the president representing my party will have no chance to further the Democratic agenda with his remaining term I would want him out as I did with Nixon. This is why we are starting to see so many of the Dems turning against Clinton . . . they don't want to have a neutered president trying to finish out his term not able to further their agenda.

And talk about eating their own have you heard the latest by the Clinton spinmeisters? They are putting out feelers asking the members of their party in Washington if they help usher out Clinton then consider the alternative-Gore. They ask, "Do you really want Gore to represent the party?" I wonder what Gore thinks/feels about his 'friend' turning on him like this? This party is self destructing right before our eyes.
