Re CPQ vs Dell,
I agree with you entireley and more.

CPQ is trading below it's price in January---What is DELL up from January???

Actually, CPQ is down from its price in October 1997, nearly a year ago. DEll is up 3x at least I believe.

I have CPQ and Dell, keep thinking, maybe I should sell the CPQ and buy more Dell, decide Dell is too high, then a few weeks later Dell is up and CPQ is meandering along.

Anyone here think CPQ will be up say 50% from here in a years time? That is what is keeping me hanging onto the CPQ, but if Dell dips back after the split next week, I may just sell all my CPQ and buy Dell.

I have to agree with your scenario. Got tired of watching Dell move while CPQ stagnates. Although I kept my Compaq, I sold some other stock to get into Dell. Just trying to keep my sanity.
