(CMVT) got a boost of 3.1 percent on the company's positive earnings surprise. The company recorded a second-quarter net income of $26 million or 55 cents a share compared to $17 million or 37 cents a share. The computer and telecommunications systems manufacturer was expected to show a profit of 52 cents a share. Shares rose 1 1/2 to 45 7/8. See press release and Tech Report.
