I've talked to some bond traders about CanPX but they don't think it's gonna be that great. Brokers aren't in a big rush to see their bond commissions squeezed.Haven't heard when it goes live..

John, if its of any help I do a fair amount of bonds both US+Can and I
exclusively deal in exchange traded debentures/bonds because I can put a good till bid or sales order in. A side from a few strips I've given up on other(un exchange traded) bonds since the bid/ask spread costs too much(remember its both ways) and none of my brokers will accept open orders.
Scott

When I tried to get a price the bastards would 1. ask how many and 2. check to see if I had enough money 3. make me do the order right away. They wont even give you what their bid price is unless you are holding the bond...
