Hey john from all indications thus far I think Iridium is in trouble. They are targeting the business Ceo, world traveler with a product that will be much more expensive then other options. Why would someone pay 3000 for a phone and 2 a minute when they will be able to buy dual band or triband phone (GSM, CDMA, AMPS). Nokia and others are building this phone. It seems the market for Iridium (other then for terrorists) will be quite small. Globalstar on the other hand has a model, which will be
Much less expensive and is focusing on providing phones where there are none. They will compete against WLL buildouts.
