Dow Jones - An E.U. Commission spokeswoman specified later Tuesday that if Viagra receives E.U.-wide approval by the Commission, that supercedes any decisions taken by individual E.U. member states.

'At that point, Viagra will be approved for sale in all member states,' said the spokeswoman. Some member states already have approved Viagra on a national basis.

The scientific experts recommended that the Commission add the word 'painful' to the medication's label to warn about the possibility of unpleasant side effects.

The new wording states: 'Rarely, prolonged and painful erections have been reported after taking Viagra. If you have such an erection which lasts continuously for more than four hours, you should contact a doctor immediately.'

zurdo, the way Maria reported it, you would have thought that the news came out this morning. Don't they do any research? The 69 deaths were reported by Bloomberg 2 days ago. Despite her doom and gloom, the stock isn't down that much. WLA held up quite well, and I am hoping to pick up some MTC if it drops some more. Celebra is going to be BIG. Some say $4 billion sales by 2002. If Pfizer gets 25% of Celebra revenue, that's not bad at all.

<< Somebody wants to keep PFE prices down in the worst way!!! Bartiromo conveniently neglected to add that the entire market is down this morning!!>>

my sense of humor is fast losing its premium.
PFE just confirmed? where in the hell is the voice of
reason.

i wasn't going to mention this but...
yesterday, i heard , on several occasions, about
celebra & monsanto & ahp.

pfizer was never once mentioned in conjunction with them,
or with the development, until a good long time after the close.
the theme continues with this nonsense today.kernan also
mentioned pharma yesterday, the solid performers...
pfizer was excluded.

a letter to CNBC may be in short order.
