I suspect that in this market positive news such as a po may be met with neutral or a negative response.<EOM>

Robert: Nah, not funny at all. Just as the longs stand behind their position, so too do the shorts, once they've initiated theirs. Vested interests require verbal support, eh? Heh!

But looking at the over-all market conditions is like viewing a historic spectacle the next storyline of which is the unfolding of the Russian situation. Nasty, nasty, dirty and ugly. This leads right to one of my main concerns. VLNC will announce p.o.'s right in the teeth of the beginnings of a major bear market. It'll be like trying to swim upstream against a deluge. So perhaps it's best to temper all dreams of "glory" in the light of general conditions, eh? They'll do well once p.o.'s are announced, but not as well(immediately anyway) as some would like to think. IMHO, of course. Clearly market forces are gonna have a say, and for a lot of folks in a variety of equities it ain't gonna be a pretty statement.

John~
