I caught Joe's comments also. I had to chuckle!

That's what I really like about Joe -- that combination of spontaneous off-the-cuff comments with an apparent sophisticated naivet‚ (contradictory, isn't it?).

I don't think Joe has a 'politically correct' cell in his brain. Makes him fun to watch.
