Steve ---

Thank you for the phone call from my email ...........

THIS IS
to the thread

I don't know Steve, and he doesn't know me.
Earlier today
(what with SI, my ISP, and other outside problems lies the reason for the slow pat on the back for Steve) ,
I sent an email to Steve with some questions.

Again, let me state that he knew nothing about me, and I had told him that the questions could be put on hold, as they didn't require a response except at his leisure.

I currently have accounts with 4 brokerage firms ......
some tiny in size and some not so tiny ........
they might be all tiny to others, but not to me ......
but I didn't say anything in my email about that.

The reason for this post ----
I've talked with Steve today ....
quick response ...
and he was QUICK to say that he didn't have the answer to one question ....
but would check ....
and did give me immediate and satisfactory resolution to the others ......

THIS did impress me .......
and
should any of you readers, lurkers, posters , etc .... have experienced slow response from your "full service and full priced" brokers as have I ........
IT should impress you too .....
especially in light of the market today .....
The market today was a little violent and did create SOME havoc with SOME brokers ........
I was unable to get a response from 2 of my brokers today in under 3 hours and 1 still hasn't called back .....

MY HAT (cowboy type as in Stetson 3x, TexasRangerStyle,)
is tipped to the Yamner firm, and to Steve Goldman for the professional handling of a request for information ......

Regards ----Nemer

Steve - I lurk mostly & a bit tardy at that recently but your comments re hurricanes, etc., certainly makes a very important point.

I have another question re disasters which anyone may care to respond to. Is it not a fact that certain businesses, suppliers, etc., see a tremendous increase in product, services or other, when disasters strike? Some of these companies may be publicly listed, although perhaps not many & prob usually smaller caps.

Investors or short term traders would I think be very interested in such companies if they were able to identify such & promptly. Does anyone try to follow this aspect & utilize it & with any promising results?

I apologize if this clutters your very good thread with something quite off topic.
