Durable-goods orders rebound in July:

usatoday.com

"In July, orders were led by a 12% surge in electrical and electronic equipment. A big increase in electronic components more than offset a drop for communication equipment."

Eugene,

looks like at least you, big bucks and I are coming to the same conclusion. The market has taken such a hit that there are so many good cheap stocks around. At the current price, AMAT is not even close to qualifying to go on the buy list.

My answer to Brian's question to AMAT bears is simple - as soon as Brian throws in the towel, it is time to buy.
