Going with I just wrote about money for the fractional share:

Wouldn't it just be worth it to just go out and buy another share (assumming you're with a deep discount broker, like me, who is also sitting on an odd number of shares and thinks the $7.95 is probably worth not having to deal with short-term capital gains.)

My point of view is that it costs me $111 to save some headaches, and I get to add more shares of a company that I am happy to be long on. Of course if you happen to have some more spare change floating around the account, you could buy 3, 5, 11, 25, whatever worth of shares, as long as you end up with an even number.
