That is good news Joe. That time frame seems to be in synch with what should happen that I have heard. The first wave of moving techs will come in very late this year(I question this because of tax selling) and early 1999, then the second wave around mid year.

Joe,

It occurred to me after posting the earnings estimate for the group of 41 stocks for this year of $4.86 per share, that MASK, DPMI and PLAB, the mask-makers of the group, had fairly good earning estimates for the current year. Adding them up comes to $4.36 per share. Subtracting this number from the group value leaves $0.50 of estimated earnings for the remaining 38 stocks in the group for this year - amazing!!! The whole group is going to spend the whole year working for no profit!!:)

MASK seems to be in a separate category from DPMI and PLAB. At closing prices Friday compared to this years earning estimates, MASK is selling for a PE of 8 whereas DPMI and PLAB are selling for a PE of 15 and 14 respectively. This is after MASK just recently announced record quarterly sales and earnings for the first quarter. It would seem that either MASK is selling for too low a price, or DPMI and PLAB are selling at too high a price.
