The short interest coverage ratio in AMZN now is at the lowest level in more than a year. It still is significant but not nearly the dangerous level that has caused much of the panic short-covering.

OK bears, let's not shoot ourselves in the foot again on this leg down: cover your short-term trades BEFORE the end of the trading day. SELL at the close to drive the price down. There is nothing to fear but fear itself and nothing to hold this stock up but the combination of bull speculators wishful thinking and bears nervous short-covering. It would not take much at this point and given the climate, IMO, to turn the momentum sharply to the downside.
