<<you need to have grave reservations about the accuracy of press reports....>>

That does not even begin to describe my feelings when following press coverage of various stories. The current issue only makes the others seem more credible, not certain. There has been enough credible reporting from enough different sources to make me seriously doubt Clinton's motives and worry about his actions. They do seem to follow certain patterns. I am, however still waiting for more information before I make a "final" decision. There is definitely enough there to prevent me from having the man over for dinner on the yacht (as if I could afford one <g>).

<<Allan Greenspan was a major disappointment to him >>

A lot of people have held that opinion regarding interest rates. More is always better, so if we can have the economy grow faster, that must be better. Americans are notorious for their short-term attitudes, and this may be an example. In the short-term, faster growth would have been good. In the long-term, Greenspan would have had to increase rates to put the brakes on. Better to have more predictability and steady, slow growth. Corporations need a stable environment to plan for their growth. Changes in direction cause instability in the marketplace.
