BCAM International, Inc. announces extension of the world's first
"intelligent" passenger-car seat to a second automobile model

Cadillac to add feature to the 1999 Cadillac SLS in addition to the STS

MELVILLE, N.Y., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- BCAM International, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCAM, Boston Stock Exchange: BAM) announced today that its
proprietary and patented Intelligent Surface Technology (IST) is being incorporated into the driver and passenger seats of the new 1999
Cadillac Seville SLS model by the Cadillac division of General Motors Corporation [NYSE:GM - news]. BCAM's IST technology is already
incorporated into the Cadillac Seville STS model.

In 1993, Textron (NYSE: TXT - news) signed an exclusive agreement with BCAM to license its Intelligent Surface Technology for transportation
seating, office chairs, hospital beds and wheelchairs. Under the agreement, BCAM will receive a royalty payment, subject to the earnout of an
annual credit due to Textron Automotive, each time its technology is incorporated into products. Textron Automotive, a division of Textron
Inc., is the leading supplier of automotive interior and functional components and systems.

For BCAM, this represents significant recognition for the company's years of research into the phenomenon of how to make better
''ergonomically designed'' products that are in total physical harmony with their users and that provide them with the ultimate in comfort and fit.
Revenues from the royalty relationship with Textron Automotive were $2,000 for the six months ended June 30, 1998 and are expected by
management to exceed $40,000 for the full year 1998.
