Sony's new double VCR machines...............................

Corporation : TOKYO (Nikkei)--Sony Corp.
(6758) will introduce three new "double VCR"
machines capable of recording and playback
in both digital and analog formats on October
10.

The new models will make it possible to copy
and edit tapes produced by digital cameras
into VHS format.

The WV-D900 is priced at 285,000 yen and
includes a satellite broadcasting tuner. It
uses the S-VHS ET format which is
compatible with ordinary tapes.

Also to be introduced are the WV-D700 for
digital video and VHS, and the WV-BW3 for
VHS and 8mm tapes with a satellite
broadcasting tuner, priced at 200,000 and
120,000 yen respectively.
