CONSECO INC said that its key businesses are performing at or above expectations so far in the 3Q, and the company remains comfortable with estimates for 3Q & 4Q and full year 1999 operating earnings per diluted share. Conseco said it based its statement on an analysts' consensus estimate for the third quarter of $0.90 a share, for the 4Q $0.90 and for full-year 1999 $4.06.
